Noel Whelan praised Leeds United winger Raphinha on BBC Radio Leeds (10:10pm, October 23, 2020) for his performance against Aston Villa on Friday evening.
The former Leeds striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Radio Leeds, was impressed with the display produced by the 23-year-old winger during the Whites’ 3-0 win against Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League.
Whelan also praised Spain international Rodrigo, who can play as a striker or as a winger, for the performance he put in against the Villans.
The Englishman said about Raphinha on BBC Radio Leeds (10:10pm, October 23, 2020): “He is exciting. He is direct, he has got pace.
“We saw that quality very early on when he came on when he threaded that ball through for Harrison into the 18-yard box. That was quality there.”
The former Leeds striker added about Rodrigo: “You have seen the best of Rodrigo. He was excellent in the second half. Raphinha, he is only going to get better.”
