During the month of November, there will be four rotating raids and spotlights for Pokémon Go events. However, before next month comes about, Niantic is celebrating the launch of Crown Tundra for Sword and Shield. This celebration has seen the arrival of Galarian Ponyta which players can evolve into Galarian Rapidash. With the horned My Little Pony having just arrived in the mobile game, here you’ll discover how to get Ponyta and evolve it into Rapidash.

In addition to the current celebration of Crown Tundra for Sword and Shield, Pokémon Go will also have its annual Halloween event for 2020. This Halloween event will include costumed creatures such as Sabeleye, Gengar, and Squirtle, and it’ll be happening very soon after Niantic is done celebrating Crown Tundra.

But, before costumed creatures arrive and go trick or treating in their own way, below you’ll discover how to get Galarian Ponyta and evolve it into Galarian Rapidash.

How to get Galarian Ponyta in Pokémon Go

You can only get Galarian Ponyta in Pokémon Go through Raids.

Pokémon Go trainers will only be able to get Galarian Ponyta through raids until 18:00 PDT on October 23rd, but players will still be able to obtain the creature through a different method once the end time has passed.

As soon as Niantic are done celebrating the launch of Crown Tundra for Sword and Shield, the colourful and horned pony will still be obtainable but through 7km Eggs.

In addition, you will still be able to evolve Galarian Ponyta into its adult sized form, Galarian Rapidash.

How to evolve Galarian Ponyta into Galarian Rapidash

You need to get Galarian Ponyta via Raids or 7km Eggs to later evolve it into Galarian Rapidash in Pokémon Go.

Once you have Galarian Ponyta in Pokémon Go, you then need 50 of its candy to evolve it into its adult sized form, Galarian Rapidash.

Again, the celebration of Crown Tundra concludes on October 23rd at 18:00 PDT, but you can still get and transform the horned healing creature even after the event has finished.

In addition to the arrival of Galarian Ponyta and its evolution into Rapidash, there are also new Crown Tundra inspired avatar items in the style shop.
