Gary Neville has jokingly accused Liverpool of ‘in fighting’ after Jurgen Klopp took a swipe at Jamie Carragher during his press conference.
Klopp claimed that Carragher had said he made a mistake by not signing a central defender in the summer, following an injury to Virgil van Dijk.
But the Liverpool legend insisted that he has never made such a suggestion before.
And Neville could not resist stirring the pot between his fellow pundit and the Liverpool boss.
Liverpool’s decision not to sign a central defender this summer has come into sharp focus this week.
With Van Dijk out for the season there are concerns that the Reds could now be left very short at the back.
Liverpool only really have three central defensive options now, and Joel Matip is not the most reliable with his fitness.
As a result Liverpool could be forced to play Fabinho in central defence this evening, when they take on Ajax in the Champions League.
