  • There is currently no release date for The Vow season 2. However, HBO has officially confirmed the series’ renewal and that it will arrive in 2021.

This news comes courtesy of Deadline, which addresses that directors and executive-producers Jehane Noujaim and Karim Amer will return.

The pair previously spoke with Variety and shed some insight on their exploration of the NXIVM.

Jehane Noujaim expressed:

“We were following the story long before there was any news element. It started as a very personal story. Mark was somebody I had known for 10 years at that time and had always believed very much in the organization and the ethical mission of the organization was all of a sudden talking in a very different way, questioning everything that he believed, and it was very much a crisis of faith.”

Considering it has been confirmed for 2021, perhaps fans can expect season 2 to premiere around August, the same time as the first. However, around October 2021 is arguably more likely.

As noted by Deadline, the second season of The Vow will be set against the backdrop of the federal trial of the United States against Keith Raniere.

New episodes will continue to explore him and the NXIVM, also diving into the cult’s leadership and central figures in the US and Mexico.
