Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the win for Steven Gerrard’s Rangers against Celtic this afternoon.
The former Rangers star has congratulated the Gers on winning the Old Firm derby 2-0 at Celtic Park.
Connor Goldson scored both the goals for the visiting team in the Scottish Premiership game, first in the ninth minute and then on 54 minutes.
Former Rangers star Roberts has revelled in the win for the Gers, while ex-Ibrox striker Billy Dodds – who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport – has given his take on the final result.
Dodds told BBC Sport (2:22pm): “It’s been a complete performance from Rangers. We know the way they set up and play and Celtic just haven’t handled that. Rangers got the goals at the right times and it’s been so straightforward.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Celtic had 57% of the possession, took five shots of which none was on target, and earned one corner, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Rangers had 43% of the possession, took nine shots of which five were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.
Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 29 points from 11 matches, four points clear of second-placed and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have played 10 games.
