According to Sky Sports (Transfer Live blog, 5:15pm, October 16, 2020), Bournemouth are in advanced talks to sign Cameron Carter-Vickers on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
The report has claimed that the ‘first part of the paperwork is complete’ for Championship club Bournemouth to secure the services of the USA international central defender on a loan deal.
It is past the 5pm deadline and there has been no announcement from either club, and Sky Sports’ update also came at 5:15pm.
However, if a deal sheet has been submitted, then Tottenham and Bournemouth will have until 7pm to complete the transfer, as explained on PremierLeague.com here.
Leaving Tottenham Hotspur
Carter-Vickers has been at Tottenham since 2009, but the 22-year-old has yet to establish himself in the first team.
It is hard to see the 22-year-old USA international break into head coach Jose Mourinho’s team, and it would make sense for him to move away on loan.
Bournemouth got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season and will be looking to win promotion from the Championship, and Carter-Vickers could play a big role in that quest.
