Yesterday marked Trump’s last-minute town hall event which was aired on NBC, and host Savannah Guthrie really grilled the president – here are 17 of the best memes.
Whilst the town hall event was supposed to be a chance for Donald Trump to answer questions from supporters, it turned out to be far from that as host and NBC news anchor Savannah Guthrie took the opportunity to grill the president on a number of different topics.
Perhaps the most notable line of the night came from Savannah, as she said: “You’re the president. You’re not someone’s crazy uncle who can retweet whatever.”
On Twitter, there were mixed opinions of Savannah’s tone. Some applauded her for taking down Trump, whilst others thought it really wasn’t fair for her to take over the event like that.
