Taskmaster returns to our screens on October 15th for series 10 but just what time is Taskmaster on Channel 4 tonight?

The year 2020 has been pretty rough, to say the least, but thankfully, the worst year in living memory is about to get a little bit better.

That comes courtesy of the return of BAFTA-winning Taskmaster to our screens.

The show, which sees five funny people completing all manner of weird and wonderful tasks, is set to make its debut on Channel 4 after its surprise departure from Dave at the end of series 9 in 2019.

But just what is the show about and what time is Taskmaster airing on Channel 4 tonight?

Taskmaster on Channel 4

Taskmaster arrives on Channel 4 on Thursday, October 15th.

The series, which began life at the Edinburgh Fridge Festival, became a staple of the channel Dave after it debuted in 2015.

The show, which was devised by co-host Alex Horne, sees five funny people (comedians, actors, TV personalities) all compete in a series of weird and wonderful tasks, all with the aim of pleasing the titular Taskmaster, Greg Davies.

For series 10, we’ll be joining Johnny Vegas, Katherine Parkinson, Richard Herring, Daisy May Cooper and Mawaan Rizwan as they take on the tasks set by Alex Horne.

From humble beginnings, Taskmaster caught the attention of millions of viewers and eventually Channel 4, who won the rights to the show in 2019.

What time is Taskmaster on tonight?

  • Series 10 of Taskmaster begins at 9pm on Thursday, October 15th on Channel 4.

The series continues in the same post-watershed time slot as it held on Dave and you can expect plenty of foul-mouthed commentary from Greg Davies and the show’s contestants as they get their heads around the show’s devious tasks.

For those unable to watch on October 15th, all episodes will be available to stream on All 4 after they air on Channel 4 itself.

New look for 2020

Thankfully, filming for the majority of the tasks in series 10 was completed before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic so little will have changed there.

However, in an interview with the Radio Times, Alex Horne and Greg Davies revealed that the show’s studio sections and studio tasks will look a little different as they have been filmed since social distancing rules were introduced.

As a result, there will be no studio audience, meaning the exchanges between the Taskmaster and the contestants will be more direct than in previous series.

Taskmaster begins on Channel 4 at 9pm on October 15th and episodes will be available to stream once aired on All 4.
