Much like Among Us a couple of months ago, Phasmophobia is a game that is blowing up on Steam and Twitch with many people enjoying its scary antics. Lots of people are playing the game thanks to publicity and good word of mouth, but there are also some people reporting issues with the game being stuck at 90 percent on the loading screen. Here you’ll find some ways to possibly fix the issue.

Some have dubbed Phasmophobia the best ghost game ever made, and it’s easy to see why these people are that in love with the experience thanks to its unique format in the realm of video games. While TV series such as Ghost Hunters and Most Haunted are too many, in videos games there’s very few that allow you to investigate paranormal hotspots with mates in similar fashion to the TV trash.

If you’ve been enjoying the game but are now finding it stuck at 90 percent on the loading screen, below you’ll discover how to possibly fix the issue.

Phasmophobia stuck on 90 percent loading fix

Before deleting your save data, you can trying running Phasmophobia in administrator mode to try to fix the stuck on 90 percent loading issue.

In addition, on Steam, you can also try to fix the stuck on 90 percent loading screen problem for Phasmophobia by verifying the integrity of the game’s files.

Both of the two aforementioned solutions have been posted on the game’s Discord server and have also resolved the issue for some over on Reddit.

However, if none of the above two solutions work, then the most popular and official fix for the stuck on 90 percent conundrum is to delete your save file.

In order to do this, you must find and delete the SaveData.txt file which can be found in C:/Users/[username]/AppData/LocalLow/Kinetic Games/Phasmophobia.

You can copy and paste the file elsewhere, but know that deleting it will remove all of your progress.

After you’ve deleted the file, open Phasmophobia again and hopefully the issue will be gone. If it isn’t, the game’s official Discord server suggests deleting everything in the LocalLow/Kinetic Games folder, uninstalling Phasmophobia, restarting your computer, and then reinstalling the horror game.
