West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Evening Standard revealed that Said Benrahma will become the Hammers’ third signing of the window.
A deal for the Algeria international briefly stalled due to an issue between Brentford and the forward’s agent, but that has now been resolved.
As a result, the Irons can now push on and complete their £30 million deal for the mercurial attacker – The Evening Standard add that £25 million will be paid upfront.
The report also states that more complications were caused with the deal while Benrahma was away in the Netherlands on international duty with Algeria.
The Brentford star will help add depth to David Moyes’ flanks, after they were significantly weakened by the departures of Felipe Anderson and Grady Diangana.
West Ham have until 5pm on Friday to complete the deal before the domestic deadline arrives.
The Evening Standard write that he will become the club’s third signing, following the arrival of Vladimir Coufal and the season-long loan capture of Craig Dawson.
It will be interesting to see if Benrahma can continue his fine form in the Premier League. The 25-year-old netted 17 goals in the Championship, while also assisting ten more.
Let’s see what the Hammers fans on Twitter have been saying about the breakthrough in negotiations…

Nicknamed the Algerian Messi but I actually think he has more Neymar in him with the skills he does
Neymar & Benrahma are one of the only few players I remember do a rainbow flick more than twice in their career during games
Jay Jay did it once I think
I will not celebrate until I see Benrahma holding our Jersey and attempting to say "come on you irons"— Christian Tan (@ChristianTan3) October 14, 2020

If we do sign Benrahma, it’s crazy how many people will be happy with the window because of the way it’s been built up. Clever stuff from Sullivan #GSBOUT— Rob McLean ⚒ (@bobtheiron) October 14, 2020
Signing an expensive winger doesn’t change the fact we haven’t reinforced our weak positions— Elliott #GSBOUT (@ElliottWHUFC) October 14, 2020
