Bukayo Saka and Stuart McKinstry were just a number of players raving about Leeds United’s summer signing Sam Greenwood on Instagram.

The 18-year-old joined Leeds from Arsenal and stated on Instagram that he has ‘enjoyed’ his first month at Elland Road – he was recently named the Premier League 2’s Player of the Month.

Saka responded to his message by saying: ‘Ballaaa’ added with a fire emoji. His new teammate, Mckinstry wrote: ‘Some player’.

Manchester City youngster Morgan Rogers also commented by saying: ‘Sharpest shoota’ added with fire emojis.

It seems as though Greenwood is becoming a popular figure in Yorkshire and is highly admired by those who have played with or against him.

Greenwood is yet to feature in Marcelo Bielsa’s matchday squad, but he can have confidence that he has a manager who backs any player regardless of their age.

Greenwood hs netted four goals in three Premier League 2 matches for the Whites and you would be certain that Bielsa will be well aware of it.

If Greenwood wants any inspiration then he should look no further than his former teammate, Saka, who isn’t just a regular under Mikel Arteta but also an England international right now.

But, at this moment in time, Greenwood is rising and heading for the first-team.
