Shotaro has wowed audiences with his debut performance in NCT’s single ‘Make A Wish’.
Last month, the South Korean boy band NCT welcomed two new members – Shotaro and Sungchan.
They were introduced in a special live broadcast which is how fans around the world met the band’s newest additions.
NCT released the much-anticipated video of ‘Make A Wish (Birthday Song)’ where Shotaro made his first appearance – and honestly, his debut has left many fans speechless.
Who is Shotaro?
Shotaro’s full name is Osaki Shotaro. He was born on November 25th, 2000 in Kanagawa, Kantō.
He will turn 20 years old later this year and is the fourth-youngest NCT member.
Speaking on the NCT live broadcast last month, Shotaro described himself as a person with a soft personality and said that his most charming point is his eye smile.
He added that his hobbies are dancing, basketball and watching ‘mukbang’ videos.
Dancing definitely comes naturally to Shotaro as his dance routine in ‘Make A Wish’ was praised by many fans.
Shotaro wows with NCT debut
On October 12th, SM Entertainment released the video of ‘Make A Wish’.
The four-minute clip has been viewed over 1.3 million times and gained 677k likes since its premiere.
Shotaro’s performance in the video has gone viral and fans have nothing else but thousands of comments and tweets full of praise and love for the band’s newest member.
The singer has impressed audiences with his breakdance and gained nearly 730k mentions on Twitter.

NCT fans have flooded Twitter with clips and images from Shotaro’s debut performance.
One fan tweeted: “Shotaro debuted in a million seller group and having his own dance break in his FIRST song! Wow im so proud, you worked hard Shotaro!”
“If Shotaro isn’t posting on nct’s tiktok page or dance channel soon I’m going to have to intervene,” reacted someone else.
