West Ham United are in advanced talks to sign Said Benrahma from Brentford before the summer transfer window in England closes on Friday, according to Sky Sports.

It has been reported that Premier League club West Ham are close to agreeing a deal to sign the winger from Championship side Brentford.

The report has added that the total transfer fee could potentially be worth £30 million, with Crystal Palace also interested in the 25-year-old Algeria international, who can also play as a forward.

Encouraging for West Ham United

Benrahma is a very good attack-minded player, and the 25-year-old is at the right age to make the step-up to the Premier League.

The Algeria international scored 17 goals and provided four assists in the Championship last season, while in 2018-19, the winger scored 10 goals and provided 14 assists in the league, according to WhoScored.

Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa is showing that quality players from the Championship can hit the ground running in the Premier League, and Benrahma – described by his Brentford teammate Pontus Jansson as “unbelievable” in Football.London in August 2020 – could do the same in the top flight of English football.
