Aston Villa star Jack Grealish has raved about Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, as quoted in The Guardian.
Grealish, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, plays with Kane for the England national football team.
The 25-year-old has said that the 27-year-old Tottenham star is one of the best strikers in the world and has been impressed with his work ethic.
Grealish has added that he wants to add consistecy to his game and perform to a high level every week, like the likes of Kane, Marcus Rashford and Raheem Sterling do.
The Villa star told The Guardian: “The aim is to do it every weekend like some of the players in this squad – Harry Kane, Raheem, Marcus. It is the standard these guys set.
“You only have to look at Harry Kane. He is first on the training pitch, he is first in the meetings. He is last off the training pitch, he is practising his finishing, free-kicks – every single day.
“No wonder he is one of the best strikers in the world. It makes you want to go back to Villa and set those standards.”
Kane is a senior figure, both in the Tottenham squad and in the England camp.
The 27-year-old is one of the best strikers on the planet, and he also works hard for the team besides scoring goals and trains well.
It is very encouraging that Kane is being an example to his England teammates such as Grealish.
Players like Grealish are the future of the Three Lions, and with someone like Kane to lead by example, Gareth Southgate’s side can only prosper.
England will take on Belgium at Wembley Stadium in London in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.
