Herman Cain: Covid-19 timeline
In June, Herman was seen at one of Trump’s campaign rallies without a mask. He tweeted a picture of himself and others on June 20th and then deleted it.
At the time, a statement said: “There is no way of knowing for sure how or where Mr. Cain contracted the coronavirus, but we do know he is a fighter who has beaten Stage 4 cancer.”
On July 2nd, he tested positive for Covid-19 and developed symptoms which led to his hospitalisation.
In the next few weeks, reports said that Herman was getting better after contracting the virus.
On July 27th, his official Twitter account tweeted:
“We know it’s been a few days since we last gave you an update on the boss. But he is still in the hospital being treated with oxygen for his lungs. In the meantime, the doctors say his other organs and systems are strong.
Another tweet said: “He really is getting better, which means it is working.”
Herman died on July 30th.
Herman’s timeline compared to Trump
A number of social media users have compared Herman’s Covid timeline to Trump’s situation.
The US president and his wife Melania Trump revealed that they tested positive for Covid-19 last week. Trump was then hospitalised and spent three days receiving treatment at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
On Saturday, Trump released a video in which he said that he is “doing well”, while Melania is “doing very well”. Trump said:
“I came here, wasn’t feeling so well, I feel much better now. We’re working hard to get me all the way back.”
The US president is considered vulnerable because of his BMI.
