Celtic brought in one signing on deadline day, as AC Milan wide man Diego Laxalt arrived on a season-long loan deal.
The Bhoys were looking for somebody to come in and play as a left-wing back in Neil Lennon’s 3-5-2 system, and Uruguayan ace Laxalt looks to be a great coup.
Other than that, it was a pretty quiet day at Parkhead, as Neil Lennon chose not to bring in a new centre back.
Shane Duffy came in over the summer to join Christopher Jullien and Kristoffer Ajer as central defensive options, whilst Hatem Abd Elhamed and Nir Bitton can also play there if needed.
Still, Celtic were linked with another centre back in recent weeks, with Philadelphia Union’s Mark McKenzie a target according to Sky Sports.
McKenzie, 21, was allegedly keen on a move to Europe, but now move to Parkhead materialised before the deadline.

Late last night though, McKenzie tweeted ‘patience patience patience’, possibly hinting that a move may not be too far away for him even if it didn’t happen before the deadline.
Celtic fans responded to the United States international, urging him to make the move to Parkhead sooner rather than later.
Others believe that McKenzie’s tweet is a nod to a January move, with Celtic fans confident he will be a Bhoy in 2021.
