Brighton and Hove Albion are closing in on a double deal for Polish pair Jakub Moder and Michal Karbownik, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
With just a few hours remaining until the transfer deadline passes, Graham Potter’s Seagulls appear to have swooped for two players who hadn’t been linked with a move to the South Coast until the penultimate day of the window.
A free-flowing Brighton side are set to solve their left-back problem by landing 19-year-old sensation Karbownik from Legia Warsaw.
The teenager, who can also play on the right, produced eight assists during a stunning breakthrough season in 2019/20.
Karbownik’s technical ability and boundless energy have also led some to suggest his future lies in central midfield, with legendary Polish manager Boguslaw Kaczmarek comparing him to Bayern Munich action man Joshua Kimmich and PSG playmaker Marco Verratti (Sport).

TMW reports Brighton will pay an initial £5 million fee for Karbownik, who will stay in Warsaw on loan until January before arriving at the Amex.
Brighton are also expected to complete the signing of 21-year-old international Moder in an £8 million deal from Lech Poznan.
The 6ft 3in, defensively minded midfielder could replace the departed Dale Stephens in Potter’s squad. Moder will also become the biggest export in the history of Poland’s top flight.
