
Bournemouth forward Josh King could still be an Aston Villa player before the end of the transfer window, according to the Birmingham Mail.
If Sunday’s remarkable 7-2 thrashing of champions Liverpool is anything to go by, Dean Smith’s side will not be short of firepower this season.
But, despite reinforcing a previously wasteful frontline with Bertrand Traore and £28 million hat-trick hero Ollie Watkins, Villa are still in the market for new attacking options.
And they are under no pressure to immediately agree a deal with Bournemouth for King.
Premier League clubs have until October 16 to sign players from Championship teams and that means they have another two weeks before the King door closes.
