The 2020 NFL season continues this weekend but just how can fans buy into and watch the NFL RedZone show on Sunday, October 4th?

The sporting world has faced unprecedented shutdowns delays in 2020 thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But one competition has remained surprisingly unaffected by the virus, the NFL, which has returned almost as normal – apart from the absence of fans.

The 2019 NFL season came to an end in February 2020 with the Kansas City Chiefs winning Super Bowl LIV before the emerging coronavirus really took hold.

Now, as fall draws in, the 2020 NFL season has kicked off and has brought some much-needed football action back to our screens.

And, just like in previous years, fans can tune in to all the Sunday afternoon action with NFL RedZone but just what is NFL RedZone and how can fans buy-in?

What is NFL RedZone?

NFL RedZone is a dedicated channel that is owned and operated by the NFL Network.

Formed in 2009, the RedZone allows fans to watch all of the key action from every NFL game on a Sunday afternoon.

In a seven-hour football fest, hosted by Scott Hanson, fans can watch up to eight games at once with Octobox and can catch every piece of key action that takes place.

NFL RedZone takes its name from the section of the field, between the 20-yard line and the goal line that is called the red zone.

During NFL RedZone broadcasts, viewers are treated to all the action that takes place inside the red zone in every match on Sunday afternoons.

How to buy and watch NFL RedZone

Like the ordinary NFL Network channel, The NFL RedZone is a dedicated premium channel that is available as part of a subscription through your TV provider.

TV providers that feature NFL RedZone include YouTube TV, Spectrum, Fios by Verizon and many, many more.

According to FastCompany.com, NFL RedZone broadcasts are also available directly through the NFL Mobile app and are priced at $5. However, this does mean you are limited to watching on a small screen.

Outside of the US, fans may be able to tune in live to the NFL RedZone broadcast through NFL Game Pass, an annual subscription service for NFL fans.

In the UK, where Sky Sports also shows NFL coverage (including RedZone), a yearly NFL Game Pass subscription is priced at £39.99 for the Essential package while the Pro package costs £143.99 a year. More details on what these packages offer can be found here.
