Has a Ted Lasso season 2 release date been confirmed yet? Let’s explore the renewal status of the Apple TV+ comedy series.

There are many classic icons of comedy but it’s always fun to debate which of the more recent performers have cemented themselves as modern greats.

The likes of Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Seth Rogen and more are amongst popular favourites of the 2010s.

On the other hand, there will be plenty of audiences who will cite Jason Sudeikis.

The 45-year-old actor demanded the attention of wider audiences with his performance in 2011’s Horrible Bosses and went on to explore further comedy roles in the likes of Hall Pass and We’re the Millers, while also exhibiting the scope of his talents in 2016’s Colossal.

He continues to branch out and recently he’s impressed in the titular role of the TV series Ted Lasso, which premiered on Apple TV+ back in August 2020.

Ted Lasso season 2 release date confirmed?

  • No, a Ted Lasso season 2 release date is yet to be confirmed. However, the series has officially been renewed.

As highlighted by Digital Spy, Apple TV+ confirmed the series’ renewal less than a week after the first three episodes premiered back in August.

The series was developed by Bill Lawrence, Jason Sudeikis, Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt, while it’s also worth noting the series is based on the character Jason played on NBC Sports’ coverage of the Premier League.

Season 1 concludes with episode 10 – ‘The Hope that Kills You’ – on Friday, October 2nd 2020.

Taking that into account, it’s likely that an update will surface shortly. However, the COVID-19 pandemic could affect the release date.
