Norwich City fans appear to believe that they are getting a good deal from Everton for Ben Godfrey, if they can bring in £26 million for him.
The Telegraph say that Everton have made a sizeable bid for the Norwich central defender, who could now move to Goodison Park.
While Godfrey is currently an important part of Norwich’s starting line-up, there is a widespread feeling at Carrow Road, that Everton’s offer is a strong one.
And many Norwich supporters suggest that they actually wouldn’t be too disappointed to see Godfrey go.
The reaction is slightly surprising, given how highly rated Godfrey once was at Norwich.
But he did struggle in the Premier League last term, with the Canaries having the leakiest defence in the division.
That being said Godfrey is quick, comfortable in possession and robust – and it is easy to see why Everton are keen on him.
If Godfrey does move to the Toffees he will be in competition with the likes of Yerry Mina, Michael Keane and Mason Holgate for a first-team place.
