Shepard Smith has just announced that he’ll be returning to news and joining CNBC, and everyone’s pretty excited about it.
The broadcaster is most well known for his 23-year career at Fox News, where he served as chief anchor and managing editor of the breaking news division. However in 2019, Smith shocked everyone when he announced that he would be leaving the network.
Smith has always been pretty private about his personal life, preferring to keep his public image strictly work based. So most people don’t know that he has actually had a partner since 2013 – but who is he?

Shepard Smith has been dating Giovanni Graziano since 2013, a Fox business producer.
The 33-year-old studies broadcast journalism at Penn State University, and later and became a production assistant for Shepard Smith. However, he was moved to a different show as the pair dating and working together would have been a ‘conflict of interest’.
Shepard Smith is private about his sexuality
Shepard Smith married his ex-wife Virginia Donald in 1987 after they were classmates at the University of Mississippi. They later divorced in 1993 and didn’t have any children together.
For many years, there was always speculation that he was gay, however, Smith was extremely private about his personal life, and didn’t actually openly discuss his sexuality until 2017.
In 2017, Smith began to speak about it much more, and he told students at the University of Mississippi: “I don’t think about it. It’s not a thing. I go to work. I manage a lot of people. I cover the news. I deal with holy hell around me. I go home to the man I’m in love with.”
