Yannick Bolasie has revealed that he’s been ‘firing’ in training but still struggles to impress Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Bolasie, a £30 million signing in 2016, is yet to make a senior appearance for Everton in any competition this season.
The Toffees have played three Premier League games and two in the League Cup, but Ancelotti does not seem to have a place for the 30-year-old winger right now.
Despite being frozen out, the former Crystal Palace star’s professionalism has shone through in recent weeks.
Bolasie personally attended Goodison Park to watch the 5-2 win over West Brom from the stands, and tweeted a pre-match message of support ahead of their win at Palace last weekend.
But going by his latest tweet, the player is clearly beginning to get frustrated, suggesting he’s been as good as anyone at Finch Farm.
You wonder if this minor outburst only harms Bolasie’s chances of getting some game time under the legendary Italian.
Had he continued in the same vein, Ancelotti – whose side face West Ham United tonight – might’ve brought him back eventually.
That being said, any manager wants to see passion from his players and this is another sign that Bolasie is clearly passionate and motivated to give his Everton career a second wind.
