Leeds United have been linked with Demarai Gray, with The Daily Mail reporting that the Whites have the 24-year-old on their radar.

Promoted Premier League club Leeds are on the hunt for a new winger, and the Whites are claimed to have identified the former England Under-21 international as a potential target.

The 24-year-old has not had the best of times since he moved to Leicester from Birmingham City in 2016, but he is a very talented and promising player who will get better, as the following comments from Christian Fuchs show.

Fuchs is a teammate of Gray at Leicester, and the 34-year-old Austrian left-back spoke highly of the 24-year-old winger earlier this year.

The left-back told Goal.com about Gray in April 2020: “I think it is just a question of a lack of confidence for him at the moment.

“The way I experience him in training, I know he can dribble past four or five players no problem. He can fall on the floor and still keep going.

“It is unbelievable. I think if he gets a self-confidence injection, then he would have a lot of potential moving forward.”

According to WhoScored, the winger started just three times in the Premier League last season, while back in 2018-19, he made 23 starts in the league.

Leicester have a very competitive team, and it is not going to be easy for Gray to play regularly for the Foxes this season.

Leeds also are strong in wide areas, but Gray could get his chances, especially if head coach Marcelo Bielsa is still reportedly looking to sign a winger this summer.

Bielsa has improved the likes of Jack Harrison, Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips a lot over the past two years, and he could get the best out of Gray as well.
