According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on Bournemouth striker Josh King as they pursue a new forward.
It’s claimed that Spurs would ideally prefer to sign a target man, but are looking at a number of options to bolster Jose Mourinho’s attack.
King is a key option because Spurs can still sign him after the October 5th transfer deadline, as Premier League clubs can still buy from EFL sides for an extra 11 days after the window shuts.
King, 28, was back in the Bournemouth squad on Sunday after missing the start of the season through injury, and he came on in a 1-0 win over Norwich City.
The Norwegian may be even more appealing to Spurs now Son Heung-min is out with a hamstring injury, meaning Tottenham are a winger down.
King can not only play up front, but also feature out wide if needed, meaning he can cover for both Son and Harry Kane, and Eddie Howe praised him last season for his ‘unique’ pace, strength and technique.

Formerly of Manchester United, King hit just six goals last season, but he did score 12 times in the 2018-19 season and 16 goals in the 2016-17 campaign.
He has shown that he can score in the Premier League, and that’s what Spurs are looking for as competition for Kane – though as he turns 29 in January, Spurs may be reluctant to spend big money on him.
