Championship strugglers Nottingham Forest have returned for Kamil Grosicki after missing out to West Bromwich Albion for the Poland international during the January transfer window, according to Meczyki.
Three games, three defeats and no goals scored; it is genuinely impossible for Sabri Lamouchi’s side to have endured a worse start to the season.
With the almost-annual panic setting in at the City Ground once again, reports suggest that Nottingham Forest are looking to finally sign a long-standing transfer target as they look to breathe fresh life into a campaign already turning into a disaster.
According to the Sun (26 May, page 69), Martin O’Neill wanted Forest to sign Grosicki for a bargain £2.5 million 16 months ago after his terrific spell at Hull City.
But the two-time European Champions missed out not only last summer but also last January too, when the former Rennes flyer chose West Brom instead.
A deal could finally be on the cards now, however, with Grosicki behind Grady Diangana, Matt Phillips, Callum Robinson, Matheus Pereira and perhaps even Kyle Edwards in the pecking order at The Hawthorns.

Meczyki reports that Nottingham Forest would jump at the chance to finally get the 32-year-old forward wearing Garibaldi red.
What’s more, Grosicki needs regular first-team football if he is to keep his place in the Poland squad ahead of Euro 2021.
Forest appear to be prioritising tried and trusted Championship performers this window and Grosicki would fit in nicely alongside Jack Colback, Lyle Taylor, Luke Freeman, Cyrus Christie and Tyler Blackett.
Speaking last year, Lamouchi described the Pole and his former Hull sparring partner Jarrod Bowen as “probably the best wingers in the league.”
