Leeds United want to know if Manchester United will let Daniel James leave before making a bid for the winger, according to The Daily Star.

It has been reported that Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa is ‘a fan’ of the Wales international winger and is considering making a season-long loan offer.

However, according to the report, the promoted Premier League club have yet to make a bid, as they want to know first what the Red Devlls’ plans are for the 22-year-old before making a move.

Manchester United stay or Leeds United move?

James joined United only last summer, moving from Swansea City for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Star to be worth £15 million.

According to WhoScored, the 22-year-old made 26 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League, and made four starts and two substitute appearances in the Europa League for the Red Devils last season.

True, Leeds are a big club and Bielsa is a brilliant manager, but James has a lot of potential, and if his future is to be at United, then he should stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place.
