Some Arsenal fans are swooning over a goal Alexandre Lacazette scored in training on Friday.
Mikel Arteta’s side are gearing up a huge clash against Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield on Monday night.
Despite already beating them a few months ago, this could be seen as a much bigger test to see how far Arsenal have come under the Spaniard, as that last victory came straight after the Reds wrapped up a first-ever Premier League title.
This time, Liverpool should be approaching the game with a very different attitude and mentality, but the Gunners’ French striker certainly looks up for the game.
Arsenal released training-ground footage of Lacazette this evening, as the former Lyon star nonchalantly lobbed a dropping ball over reserve goalkeeper Matt Macey.
Here’s how fans of the North Londoners have reacted to the goal on Twitter:
The 29-year-old is shaping up to have a very decent season for the Emirates Stadium side.
Early days, of course, but he has scored in both of Arsenal’s Premier League games so far and, if he starts on Merseyside, few would be surprised if he finds the net again – especially going by his training-ground confidence.
