Does Rocket League have crossplay?

Yes, Rocket League is and does have crossplay.

Crossplay for Rocket League was fully implemented back in 2019, and it now includes cross platform multiplayer between Steam and Epic Games.

Although the soccar experience has been delisted from Steam, those who previously purchased and still own the game can enjoy cross platform multiplayer with those on the Epic Games store.

Rocket League crossplay between Steam and Epic Games was confirmed by Psyonix back in July. They also confirmed that – while delisted – the Steam version will continue to receive updates.

Crossplay should automatically be enabled in Rocket League, but – if you wish to disable it – you simply need to select Options, Gameplay, and then uncheck the cross platform play box.

How to enjoy cross platform multiplayer in Rocket League

Cross platform multiplayer should automatically be enabled in Rocket League.

However, just to check that cross platform multiplayer is enabled in Rocket League, head to the Gameplay tab in options and ensure the corresponding button is checked.

If you wish to only play with specific mates on different platforms, Pysonix say that you can create or join private matches.

This allows you to enjoy cross platform multiplayer with your friends only while also being able to dictate the match rules.
