It’s here but is Filthy Rich on Hulu or Netflix? Here’s how to watch the 2020 remake of the New Zealand comedy-drama series.
It’s been a bad year, there’s no doubt. However, it’s truly hard to imagine how much worse it would’ve been without TV to turn to.
When we first went into lockdown and the word “furlough” was simply inescapable, many decided it was the right time to tackle the mountain of shows which has been banished to their watchlist for months, even years.
With more time and nowhere to go, shows offered us all some much valued escapism and some bucket list viewing was finally embarked upon.
However, it’s arguably still been one of the best years for new TV in recent memory, with lockdown hits like Tiger King captivating the masses.
Fortunately, we’re all still in need of some good ‘ol entertainment and new content is always incoming.
The latest to capture attention is Filthy Rich.
Filthy Rich: 2020 series is a remake!
The 2020 series is actually a remake of a New Zealand series created by Rachel Lang and Gavin Strawhan.

Is Filthy Rich on Hulu or Netflix? How to watch
- The 2020 remake series Filthy Rich is now available to stream over on Hulu.
It is not available on Netflix.
For those who don’t currently have a subscription to the streaming service, Hulu, it’s worth noting that they are offering a free trial for one month.
The ad-free plan then costs $11.99 a month whereas the ad-supported plan costs just $5.99 a month.
It is an American subscription video on demand service and is unfortunately unavailable in the UK.
However, Hulu includes the following steps to ensure customers can access the streaming service in the UK:
- Sign up for the Smart DNS free trial and make it look like you’re accessing Hulu from the USA.
- Use a payment method that Hulu will accept.
Essentially, the IP address of your router or device identifies which country you’re in, so accessing Hulu with a UK IP address doesn’t work.
On the other hand, using a VPN is an easy solution and the Hulu page offers a more insightful guide on how to navigate the steps if you’re having trouble.
Of course, you’ll still need to pay for a subscription.
