Darren Bent has suggested to talkSPORT that Dele Alli should leave Tottenham Hotspur and join Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.

The former Tottenham striker believes that playing with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar would make Alli a better player.

Bent, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, has compared the 24-year-old to former Chelsea midfielder and current Blues manager Frank Lampard.

According to The Telegraph, French giants PSG are interested in signing the England international midfielder from Tottenham.

The report has claimed that talks regarding a move for the 24-year-old midfielder have begun.

Bent told talkSPORT: “It would be superb for him. We know the French league is not as competitive as the Premier League.

“But when you go and play with players like Mbappe, Neymar, Verratti, it’s automatically going to lift his levels and make him a better player. A change of scenery could do him the world of good and going to that club, he’d be fantastic there.”

The fomer Tottenham striker added: “You know how Mourinho wants you – hard-working, up and down – and that’s not really Dele Alli’s game. I look at Dele Alli as a Frank Lampard-type midfielder.

“I’m not saying he’s as good as Frank, but he gets in the box, gets on the end of crosses, does those late drives into the box – he gets goals.”

Swapping Tottenham Hotspur for PSG?

Tottenham are a big and ambitious club who have just brought back Gareth Bale on loan from Real Madrid.

However, PSG regularly win Ligue 1 and also reached the final of the Champions League last season.

PSG have some of the best players in the world such as Neymar and Mbappe, and playing alongside them would make Alli a better player and perhaps help him progress, with the midfielder having become stagnate over the past two or so seasons.
