Tottenham Hotspur reportedly look set to miss out on Alexander Sorloth to RB Leipzig.

Fanatik recently reported of interest in the Crystal Palace-owned striker from Tottenham.

The report in the Turkish news outlet has claimed that Spurs want to sign the 24-year-old striker, but the player himself does not want to move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he does not want to play second fiddle to Harry Kane.

It seems that the Norway international striker – who joined Turkish club Trabzonspor on a two-year loan deal from Palace in the summer of 2019 – will move to Bundesliga club Leipzig instead.

Bild has reported that Sorloth is in Leipzig ahead of his move to the Bundesliga club and has posted a picture of him in the German city.

Moving on

It seems that Tottenham will have to move on from Sorloth, and that the North London club will have to find another striker.

Spurs need to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window, as head coach Jose Mourinho cannot rely on just England international Harry Kane to bang in the goals this season.
