According to L’Equipe, Mounir Chouiar has been recalled to the Dijon squad for today’s game against Strasbourg.

L’Equipe reported last week that Chouiar had been pulled out of the Dijon squad to face Brest because of a possible transfer.

The report claimed that three Premier League clubs were keen to sign Chouiar; Arsenal, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

With a fee of up to €20million (£18.3million) needed for Chouiar, it would require a considerable investment to lure him away from Dijon.

Now, a week on from his omission, Chouiar is back in the Dijon squad to face Strasbourg in Ligue 1 this afternoon.

This seems to suggest that no deal is imminent, and Chouiar could now remain in France unless there is a breakthrough.

The 21-year-old is predominantly a left-sided winger who cuts inside onto his right foot, and bagged four goals in 20 games last season.

Wolves could be in the market for another winger now Diogo Jota has moved to Liverpool, whilst Arsenal and Leeds have both been linked with a similar player in Said Benrahma.

The situation could change before next month’s transfer deadline, but Dijon seemingly believe that he isn’t going anywhere in the immediate future.
