Cesc Fabregas has claimed that Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium is the most beautiful in the world in terms of pure beauty.

The former Premier League playmaker told AS Monaco’s official Twitter account that there’s ‘not much better of a stadium in the world’ than Arsenal’s home ground.

“In terms of beauty, it’s probably the Emirates,” Fabregas told Monaco’s official Twitter account. “There was not much of a better stadium than that in the world.”

The Gunners moved into the Emirates in 2006 after leaving their previously historic and trophy-laden home of Highbury.

Fabregas was coming through the ranks in North London when they were making that switch and he was part of a number of memorable moments in that stadium.

One of his standout moments, which he acknowledged in the AS Monaco Twitter video, was his goal against Tottenham which happened straight after kick-off and seconds after Robin Van Persie had just scored.

Arsenal’s record transfer deals

  1. Nicolas Pepe

    £72 million

  2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

    £56 million

  3. Alexandre Lacazette

    £52 million

  4. Mesut Ozil

    £42 million

  5. Shkodran Mustafi

    £35 million

Whilst Fabregas made the controversial decision to move to Chelsea during the latter stages of his career, he still provided some memorable moments for those at Arsenal.

Whether the Emirates faithful have forgiven him for that switch, it remains to be seen, but there’s no doubt that the technically-gifted Spanish midfielder wowed supporters during his time in England.

He is now plying his trade in France’s top-tier where he is trying to help Monaco return back to their previous best form.
