According to L’Equipe, Aston Villa will announce the signing of Bertrand Traore from Lyon on Friday.
It has been reported by the French publication that Villa will pay Lyon a transfer fee of €20.5 million (£18.29 million) and will secure the services of Traore on a four-year contract.
Th 25-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward, has already reportedly passed his medical, according to the report.

Traore knows Premier League well from his time at Chelsea, and the Burkina Faso international would make Villa a better team.
The 25-year-old has improved and progressed a lot during his time at Lyon, and he is ready to return to England and play for a big club such as Villa.
According to WhoScored, Traore scored one goal and provided three assists in 23 Ligue 1 matches for Lyon last season, and also scored one goal in five Champions League matches in 2019-20.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the attacker scored seven goals and provided two assists in the league, and scored one goal and provided one assist in the Champions League, according to WhoScored.
