Yannick Bolasie has confirmed that he is fully fit, and was left out of Everton’s squad for tactical reasons last night.
Everton took on Salford City in the League Cup yesterday, and Carlo Ancelotti decided to rotate his team.
Everton gave chances to a number of fringe players, but Bolaise was not one of them.
The winger, who did play for the Toffees in pre-season, was nowhere to be seen, sparking suggestions that he could have suffered another injury.
But Bolasie has now confirmed that he was fully fit and Ancelotti just decided to overlook him.
Bolasie has expressed a desire to try and get back into Everton’s team this season, but that now seems highly unlikely.
The Congolese international simply has too many players ahead of him in the pecking order at Goodison Park, and it appears likely that he has played his last game for the club now.
