Finding out whether you’re a Gryffindor or a Slytherin has never been easier, and here’s exactly how you can do it.

What is the Welcome To Hogwarts Filter?

The latest filter to become really popular on Instagram is the Welcome To Hogwarts Filter. But what does it do exactly?

When applied, the filter puts a big sorting hat onto your head. Then, once you press record it starts thinking about your personality traits.

Then, it chooses which house you would be in. Will it be Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin? Or even a Muggle! You’ll have to try the filter to find out.

How to get the Welcome to Hogwarts Filter on Instagram

  • Type the username wind_style into the Instagram search bar and click on their profile.
  • Press the smiley face in the middle of the screen above he photo grid to find the filters they have created.
  • Click on the one called ‘Welcome To Hogwarts’.
  • Press ‘Try It’.

It’s going viral on TikTok too

Although the filter can actually only be found on Instagram, it’s going viral on TikTok too.

Lots of people are filming videos using the filter, saving it to their camera roll and them uploading it to TikTok – turning it into a sort of TikTok challenge!
