Tottenham Hotspur target Ibrahim Sangare doesn’t want to play for Toulouse during the remainder of the transfer window because he fears an injury would ruin his chances of a summer exit, according to Les Violets.
The 22-year-old Ivory Coast international won’t be involved in the Ligue 2 clash between Toulouse and Sochaux on Monday night.
And while it is a bout of sickness that has kept Sangare out of the squad, it seems the all-action midfielder would have been absent anyway.
According to the reliable Les Violets, Sangare doesn’t want to play again until the window shuts in early October. He’s concerned a knock, niggle or something more serious could scupper his chances of leaving a club recently relegated from the French top flight.
If Sunday’s anaemic Premier League defeat at home to a new-look Everton side is anything to go by, Jose Mourinho is crying out for a midfielder capable of snapping into challenges, switching the play and turning defence into attack with a burst of acceleration.
And Sangare, whose technical ability belies his fearsome 6ft 3in frame, has shades of a young Moussa Dembele about him.
