With Emiliano Martinez reportedly having undergone a medical at the weekend, it seems that another player is set to join Aston Villa.
The Sun reported on Saturday that Martinez was to undergo a medical that day and complete a £20 million move from Arsenal to Villa.
It seems that that deal is going through, and now RMC Sport has claimed that Bertrand Traore is on the verge of moving to the Villans.
RMC Sport has reported that Villa and Lyon have reached an agreement over the transfer of the former Chelsea player.
It has been claimed that the 25-year-old – who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder – will undergo a medical today and sign a three-year contract.
Traore has been on the books of Lyon since 2017 when he joined from Chelsea.
According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old made 14 starts and nine substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Lyon last season, scoring one goal and providing three assists in the process.
Back in 2018-19, the Burkina Faso international made 24 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the league, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in the process, while in 2017-18, he scored 13 goals and provided four assists in the league, according to WhoScored.
