According to Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Giovani Lo Celso looks set to miss out on this weekend’s game against Everton.

It’s claimed that there was no sign of Lo Celso in training on Tuesday, and that makes it unlikely that he will be involved on Sunday.

Lo Celso hasn’t played at all in pre-season, and his continued absence from training means he will miss out.

His match fitness would be short anyway, and Jose Mourinho will have to plan to face Everton without the Argentinian.

Lo Celso played a big role in Tottenham’s 1-0 home win over Everton back in July, as his shot was diverted into his own net by Michael Keane.

Mourinho has been effusive with his praise for Lo Celso, telling Sky Sports in July that he thinks Lo Celso is ‘fantastic’ and wouldn’t swap him for Bruno Fernandes.

His vision and guile will be missed against Everton, and Mourinho may now have to go with a midfield of Harry Winks, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Dele Alli.

Hopefully Lo Celso won’t be out for too long, but his lack of pre-season action and missed training will leave some worried.
