According to The Scottish Daily Mail (10/09, back page), Celtic will sell defender Kristoffer Ajer for £15million this summer.

It’s added that Celtic have already found their ideal replacement, as they want Sampdoria defender Omar Colley.

The Bhoys made an enquiry for Colley last week, but will only firm up their interest if Ajer leaves the club this summer.

Ajer has allegedly switched his agent in a bid to earn a big move away from Celtic, though the Bhoys have yet to receive a bid.

The Daily Star reported last week that Liverpool want to sign Ajer, viewing him as the ideal replacement for Dejan Lovren following his move to Zenit St Petersburg.

The Norwegian is a huge physical presence at 6ft 5in tall, whilst he is also quick and capable on the ball, which lends itself to playing out from the back.

Sampdoria would allegedly sell Colley for less than his £10.8million release clause, meaning Celtic could sell Ajer, land his replacement and have money left over.

Colley, 27, is a Gambian international who has starred in Serie A, and would provide Celtic with a left-footed centre back to go along with the right-footed Shane Duffy and Christopher Jullien.
