Leeds United fans are praying at the thought of signing Julian Draxler after rumours surfaced that the newly-promoted Premier League side are trying to persuade him to join them.

French outlet RMC have claimed that Draxler doesn’t want to leave PSG, but Leeds are trying to sweep him off his feet in Paris and bring him to Yorkshire.

It would be some coup for Leeds if they can land his talents and a serious sign of intent from those in the Elland Road boardroom.

All of this has understandably got the Leeds faithful excited because they can finally start to dream after years and years of hurt.

Those 16 years spent in the doldrums were simply excruciating for everyone associated with the club, but their Godfather in Bielsa arrived and transformed their fortunes around with his highly-demanding, never-miss-a-beat and intelligent coaching style.

And with it, he is trying to lure some of the best European talents to Leeds, even though they just earned promotion to the Premier League.

Whilst it looks unlikely that Draxler will swap the bright lights of Paris for Yorkshire, it has allowed the Whites fans to hope that a deal can be pulled off.

But it seems Leeds aren’t the only ones keen on the 52-cap German international because North London giants Arsenal are also keen, according to L’Equipe.
