Arsenal fans feel they may just have added another gem to their squad in George Lewis.

Lewis joined Arsenal this summer to very little fanfare, after being scouted playing for Fram Larvik in Norway.

The attacker had very little senior game time behind him, but he has wasted no time in making an impact at the Emirates Stadium.

Lewis was handed a chance to play for Arsenal’s under-21 side against Ipswich Town in the EFL Trophy last night, and he hit the back of the net in the Gunners’ 2-1 victory.

Arsenal fans were very impressed by what they saw from the youngster, and there is now great excitement building about his future in North London.

Lewis now has two goals in his first two games for Arsenal’s development squad, after also bagging in a friendly against Tottenham Hotspur.

Whether Lewis will be given any game time at senior level at Arsenal remains to be seen, but more performance of the quality that he put in last night cannot do his cause any harm.

The Gunners other goal on the evening was scored by Folarin Balogun, who there are also very high hopes about around the club.
