Leeds United’s next signing could arrive on Wednesday, according to the Italian journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio.
But despite the ongoing talk of a move to Leeds for Rodrigo de Paul, it is not the Udinese midfielder – nor any player based in Italy, for that matter – that is reportedly bound for Elland Road.
It is, though, one in whom the Whites have already been credited with an interest – the Feyenoord forward, Crysencio Summerville.
Di Marzio claims Summerville is ‘very close’ to becoming a Leeds player, in a deal that could cost as little as €1 million (around £910,000).
Leeds had hoped to reach an agreement with Feyenoord last weekend, according to Algemeen Dagblad.
It was claimed the Dutch side want to sell Summerville, who has been dropped from the first team after refusing to extend his contract, which expires next summer.

Summerville scored or made five goals in 21 Eredivisie games last season.
As well as Leeds, the Netherlands Under-19 international has been linked with moves to a number of British clubs, including Wolverhampton Wanderers and Glasgow Rangers.
