Well-known football journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Sergio Reguilon has been offered to Manchester United, just days after he said that the Real Madrid left-back has been offered to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Romano, who works for The Guardian among other media outlets, has stated that the United board and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are considering the 23-year-old and will make a decision soon.
Sevilla also want to re-sign the young left-back on a loan deal from La Liga rivals Madrid, according to the journalist.
Romano said on the Last Word on Spurs on September 2: “Reguilon has been offered to Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham. Many clubs are considering him because, in my opinion he’s such a good player, he had such a good season with Sevilla.
“Napoli are also considering him, he will move from Real Madrid. But there are no talks to sign him at the moment.”
Reguilon came through the Madrid youth system, but the left-back has made only a handful of appearances for the first team.
The 23-year-old left-back spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Sevilla and had a very good season.
The Andalucian club finished in the top four of the La Liga table and also won the UEFA Europa League.
According to WhoScored, last season, Reguilon scored two goals and provided four assists in 31 La Liga matches, and scored one goal and providing one assist in six Europa League games for Sevilla.
