According to Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Metz striker Habib Diallo – and he is keen on a move to Spurs.
It’s claimed that Tottenham’s top priority is now to sign a striker, having already brought in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty.
Ollie Watkins, Callum Wilson and Arkadiusz Milik have been looked at, but Diallo may be emerging as a top target for Spurs.
The report states that Spurs asked about Diallo in January, and the striker is keen to finally work with Mourinho at Tottenham having missed out on that move eight months ago.
Diallo has two years left on his Metz deal, and he is appealing to Spurs having captained the Ligue 1 side for much of last season.
The 25-year-old hit 12 goals and three assists in 26 league games last season, whilst he was a star in the 2018-19 season with 26 goals and six assists in 37 Ligue 2 outings.

A Senegalese international with four caps and one goal to his name, Diallo is strong at 6ft 1in tall and dangerous in the air – which is what Mourinho is looking for this summer.
He has shown quick feet at Metz, as well ice-cool composure in front of goal, and he now looks to be ready for a step-up, which Tottenham can provide.
It’s difficult to bring in a big-name striker, as they won’t want to sit behind Harry Kane in the pecking order. In Diallo, Spurs could land a striker at a good age with a fine goal record and the skillset Mourinho is seeking, and he likely won’t break the bank either.
