NBA 2K21 has arrived on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Those who pre-ordered the Mamba Forever version will be able to freely upgrade to PS5 and Xbox Series X when they launch. However, for the here and now, the game is only available on current-gen consoles and there’s already a badge glitch that has been shared around the internet. Here you’ll discover how to perform the badge glitch on PS4 and Xbox One with warnings in advance.
There are a bunch of new lockers codes and similar content in NBA 2K21. But, if you’re thinking about following this tutorial, you should know in advance that it could result in you being banned. Last year’s entry quickly saw the release of a patch and players were complaining about bans, so be warned that this could happen with this year’s instalment.
But, while it isn’t patched as of writing, below you’ll discover how to perform the badge glitch on PS4 and Xbox One fully knowing that it could potentially result in you being banned.
How to do the NBA 2K21 badge glitch
Follow the below steps to perform the NBA 2K21 badge glitch on either PS4 or Xbox One:
- Create a new player
- Go into your first High School game
- Play to the best of your abilities
- Save and quit the game 20 seconds before the match ends
- Close the NBA 2K21 application
- Open the app and load the same MyCareer Player
- Play the remainder of the High School match
- Finish the match
- Close the NBA 2K21 app when the School Projection Schools Interested screen appears
- Open the NBA 2K21 app again

This badge glitch comes courtesy of multiple tutorials on YouTube such as from YOUNGDIRK.
It’s said to work for both PS4 and Xbox One, and it’s a badge glitch which has been shared all over the internet with few variations.
Again, it’s likely that this exploit will be patched, and it could also result in you being banned. In addition, it can only be exploited four times.
With the prospect of a permanent ban hanging large, you should probably avoid following the tutorial.
But, if you’re willing to risk it, then Godspeed.
