NBA 2K20 fans have noticed that the game doesn’t seem to appear on Xbox Game Pass at present. With the release of NBA 2K21, the previous game in the series is suddenly a lot harder to discover.

NBA 2K20 initially launched in 2019, and now that its replacement has arrived, many players are interested in revisiting the older title rather than paying a large price for the newest instalment.

Those who are wanting to replay NBA 2K20 on Xbox are in for disappointment, though – especially if they’re relying on Xbox Game Pass.

Is NBA 2K20 still on Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, NBA 2K20 is no longer available for free on Xbox Game Pass. The title was removed on September 1st, along with Red Dead Redemption 2.

The game is still available for purchase on various outlets, but it is no longer free for those who are already paying for Microsoft’s game subscription service.

Thankfully, a lot of other new games have been added to Game Pass to make up for these losses.

New games on Xbox Game Pass September 2020

New games available on Game Pass this month include:

  • Crusader Kings III (PC) – Available now
  • The Jackbox Party Pack 4 (Console) – September 3
  • Resident Evil 7 Biohazard (Console & PC) – September 3
  • Tell Me Why: Chapter Two (Console & PC) – September 3
  • Touhou Luna Nights (Console & PC) – September 3
  • World War Z (PC) – September 3
  • Star Renegades (PC) – September 8
  • Disgaea 4 Complete+ (PC) – September 10
  • Hotshot Racing (Console) – September 10
  • Tell Me Why: Chapter Three (Console & PC) – September 10
  • Destiny 2: Shadowkeep & Forsaken (Console) – TBA

While these games might not entirely make up for the loss of NBA 2K20 on Xbox Game Pass, they’re certainly more than enough to justify a subscription to the service.

In the meantime, players can also try out NBA 2K21 for an updated look at the classic series.
