Cobra Kai fans have been left fearing for Miguel Diaz after the tense season 2 cliffhanger left fans asking if Miguel dies in Cobra Kai.

The Karate Kid is one of the most loved, iconic and quoted movies of all time and spawned several sequels and remakes in the years since as a result.

Now, the Karate Kid has been brought back to our screens in the form of the TV series Cobra Kai which has just arrived on Netflix after making its debut on YouTube Premium in 2018.

As such, Cobra Kai is now available for a much larger audience and fans have been binge-watching their through the two opening seasons.

Unfortunately, those who have made it to the end of season 2 have been left fearing for Miguel Diaz after a horrifying fall left him on life support in the hospital.

As a result, many have been left asking if Miguel dies in Cobra Kai.

Cobra Kai on Netflix

Cobra Kai began life as a series on YouTube Premium but in 2020, the show made the switch to Netflix.

Seasons 1 and 2 arrived on the streaming service on August 28th and the show has quickly risen to the top trending series on Netflix.

The series follows the Karate Kid’s Johnny Lawrence, now in his 50s, as he reforms the Cobra Kai dojo, the same dojo where he learned karate in the original film.

Joined by Ralph Macchio, the Karate Kid himself, and a host of up and coming talents, we embark on a new journey of butt-kicking karate and high-stakes drama.

Does Miguel die in Cobra Kai?

  • Miguel’s fate in Cobra Kai is unkown.

In the final episode of season 2, titled No Mercy, we see a full-on karate showdown erupt at school as members of the Cobra Kai and Miyagi-do dojos square off in epic fashion.

During the fight, Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña) confronts Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) and we’re greeted with one epic showdown.

The fight doesn’t go so well for Miguel, however, as he’s kicked over the railings and falls from the second floor of the school cafeteria, landing heavily on a set of bannisters below.

We last see Miguel unconscious in hospital, fighting for his life on a life support machine.

The doctors can’t tell Johnny if Miguel will pull through and the Cobra Kai sensei immediately blames himself.

What we do know is that Xolo Maridueña is slated to appear in season 3 when it arrives, thanks to an excited Tweet from the actor in November 2019, which does bode well for the character.

Although, no mention is made on what state we’ll find Miguel when we join him again in season 3.

Cobra Kai season 3

Thankfully, viewers’ questions will be answered in season 3 which has already been confirmed by Netflix.

Unfortunately, the next instalment isn’t due to arrive until 2021 so fans will have to wait a few more months to find out Miguel’s fate.

Besides knowing that it will release in 2021, no release date has been announced for season 3 at the time of writing.

So until then, seasons 1 and 2 of Cobra Kai are available to stream now on Netflix.
