According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli don’t want to sell Hirving Lozano following Everton’s latest approach but look favourably on a potential loan to Newcastle United.

Lozano just hasn’t got going since joining Napoli from PSV Eindhoven last summer.

The Mexico international joined the Naples club for £34 million. However, despite an abundance of talent, he made just ten Serie A starts last term, scoring four goals.

Everton are trying to secure a deal for Napoli midfielder Alan. But during talks, Corriere dello Sport add that the Toffees asked about Lozano only to be turned down.

The Naples club have no intentions of selling their 25-year-old asset.

A loan move, however, is viewed as the ideal solution and Newcastle are keen on a deal.

The Magpies have been left frustrated by their failed takeover bid as they look to strengthen.

But one silver lining for the Magpies is they can now finally plot their summer moves with manager Steve Bruce knowing his immediate future at the club is secure.

Newcastle picked up just two points in their final six Premier League games. The squad needs an injection of top quality, and Lozano would certainly provide a spark.

The former Pachuca man has blistering pace and can play on either flank. Alongside Allan Saint-Maximin, the duo could be deadly on the counterattack.

With limited funds, adding Lozano for a respectful loan fee would be a real coup.
